Call for Cases

The Case Centre for Business Education (CCBE) aims, at its modest beginning, to create a business case data bank for learning and teaching within HSUHK. To promote using case methods to foster quality business education, we have a pleasure to invite you to participate in the Best Business Case Competition. The competition is organized by CCBE and will take place in HSUHK during the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year. The theme of this year’s competition is “Visions of Innovation for Sustainable Growth”. The present call for entries aims at teaching cases in different disciplines such as accounting, management, decision science, marketing, supply chain management, and computing. Details of the Competition are as follows:

• The present call is open to all HSUHK members participating individually or as a team of co-authors. A team of co-authors shall have a faculty as a core member.
• Collaboration between faculty and business professionals is encouraged. An author or a team of co-authors can submit one case or multiple cases.
• Only teaching cases are eligible. Research cases will not be considered in this phase.

• Large case of at least 5,000 words and small case of 1,000 to 2,000 words are welcomed.

• All awards are sponsored by CCBE. The total honorarium is worth HK$150,000 and will be distributed to the writers of the best teaching cases on business education, and the adjudication committee’s decision is final.

• The case may be submitted as a written document. It may be written in either Chinese or English and submitted to ccbe@hsmc.edu.hk.
